Projects

Large Scale Linear Regression (Oct 2023 – Dec 2023)

Implemented a closed-form solution for large datasets in linear regression, utilizing RDDs. Implemented gradient descent updates, initializing parameters, computing summands, and evaluating RMSE. Tested on example RDDs, running for 5 iterations, showcasing expertise in distributed computing and optimization for linear regression. Technologies used: Scala, Databricks, Big Data, Spark

NBA Player Position Classification (Sep 2023 – Oct 2023)

Developed an NBA player position classification model using MLPClassifier, achieving high accuracy through strategic feature selection, domain knowledge integration, and handling NULL values. TF-IDF based Search Engine (Aug 2023 – Sep 2023)

Designed and implemented a toy ”search engine” in Python for processing a corpus. Developed functionality to generate TF-IDF vectors for documents and identify the document with the highest cosine similarity score for a given query. Utilized NLTK, a natural language processing toolkit for Python. Technologies used: Data Mining, Python, Jupyter Notebook, NLTK- natural language processing toolkit

Hierarchical Clustering for Seed Categorization (Apr 2023- May 2023)

Implemented Hierarchical Clustering on the UCI seed dataset to divide it in groups and use the cluster IDs as labels for a subsequent K nearest neighbor classifier to identify the species. Technologies used: Python, Machine Learning Algorithms, Data Science, Jupyter Notebook.

Online clothes Shopping System (Aug 2022 – Dec 2022)

A system that aims to provide simplify and automate the process of online booking of clothes which stores the details of product and its inventory, customer and their feedback, suppliers, and orders. Technologies used: Java, MySQL, Oracle workbench, RDBMS, DBMS.
